a believer, a wife, black coffee drinker and animal lover. My roots run deep in agriculture and Western sports. I grew up in Central Florida, helping raise beef cattle and bucking bulls, volunteering with my local rodeo, and spending weekends with my grandparents who lived on Disney’s Wilderness Preserve. These early experiences instilled in me a respect for stewardship, tradition, and hard work. Today, I live in Crockett, Texas, with my husband, Lane, where we raise beef and rodeo cattle with my family. When I’m not working, I’m likely gardening, reading, tending to chickens, or spending time with our two dogs, Rue and Dill.
In 2022, I earned a B.S. in Agricultural Communications (Magna Cum Laude, 2022). Then, an M.A. in Mass Communication (Summa Cum Laude, 2025), both from Texas Tech University. At work, I serve as the Director of Strategic Storytelling at McFarland Productions and co-host the new McFarland Minutes podcast, where I share stories and strategies around marketing, leadership, and community-building.
I’m passionate about the land and those who graze it. I hate laziness, celery, and anything that lacks intention.
I believe good stories build bridges and intentional communication has the power to preserve legacies.
